Good evening everybody. Cold and sunny here today. My niece treated me to lunch today for my birthday. Will have to turn the heating up a wee bit later.
Morning, Dull and dreary here but dry. Just back from a pleasant walk with the dog and in a good moodā¦UNTILL I went to print out some things for Dunc only to find one of those bloody updates has changed all the printer settings and now I havenāt a clue what to do. Boy am I spitting bullets, 
I had my daughter over ride the automatic updates on the computer and she would do them each time she comes up here, BUT the darn thing has somehow found a way around it and updated itself along with changing things aroundā¦AGAIN. Why the hell canāt they stopping messing things around.

May I donāt even know how to do that. I did look in the Control Panel but thereās no option headed updates so Iām leaving well alone. Iām not at all computer minded and Iāll end up with no computer at all if I mess about. Iāve transferred the stuff for printing onto a memory key and Iāll take it to the local library and get them to print it off. Rags wonāt be back until the end of May holiday for a few days. So iāll have to wait until then before itās fixedā¦

Why not start a new thread, someone will know how to help. Bloody annoying isnāt it!! I hate ALL updates, they just cause problems.
Thanks LD, but no I will not experiment as I know Iāll muck it up. I have the info on the drive and Iāll get it to the library tomorrow after my swim.

May I saw that thread earlier and was a bit gobsmacked, since UJ was forced out by that very same crowd, things are turning in on themselves. They have no one to really goad and be spiteful to now, have you seen the Politics section? What a hoot, thereās very little there new and nothing for them to squawk about. Itāll all end in tearsā¦Theirs.
One in particular Iām really shocked at, I used to like him but the stuff heās coming away with nowā¦Shudder, Nasty. 
Hi Roxy, I was going to phone the hospital about Ffosse, I then got a call about my husbandsā cousin in Toronto, terminal cancer. I canāt take any more bad news today.
UJ is fine, I got an email today.
Iām glad Geoff is ok Sweetie, I have known him almost 12 years now, way before I joined here, actually it was himself and another member who persuaded me to join this forum. It was a very different place back then so much smaller and friendlier. Sure there were disagreements, but none of the vicious spiteful ways that there are with a lot of the newer ones. BUT since UJ left Iām certainly seeing someās true colours and they are just looking for trouble. 
Iām so sorry to hear youāve got more bother and sorrow in your life at the moment, it seems some just sail through life with no worries and others have the weight of world on their shoulders. :hug:

I was all over this forum when I first joined Jess, I posted every day and in lots of Threads, I really enjoyed it then. But things changed a few years ago when we got a massive influx from some place that had shut down. They seemed to bring all their arguments and resentments with them, it was the start of the changes and hassle.
