I’d hate all that racket too, I seldom hear it way up here but if I’m down in Perth at my own home it’s heard quite a lot. I know Callander and my daughter and I often used to pass though on our way up to Loch Katrine as we used to cycle round it. We used to have lunch in Callander, I can’t remember the places name but I think it used to be a Bank at one time. Good meal though best Ploughman’s Lunch I ever had.
That was probably ‘The Old Bank’ restaurant.
My avatar is me standing alongside Loch Katrine!
Yes I recognised those railings lol. This is me leaning on same railings.
I see they’ve built a load of log cabins alongside. Spoils the remoteness somewhat.
Good Morning Each,a lovely bright sunny one here so far so had a good long yomp…glad You’re back to normal Roxy and I know how You feel as I felt under par yesterday with My heart racing like mad when on the treadmill and I didn’t feel too good the rest of the day…found the BP monitor My brother left the last time He was here but it seems to be normal this morning…who knows what’s going on as Our bodies age, maybe it’s telling Us to slow down
Morning All I know what you mean May and yes I think it’s age related. I do a lot more exercise now than I did when I was half this age, so maybe the body is screaming.
Another good day so it’s outside for me again, that garden is like the painting on the Forth Bridge…Never ending.
Evening All, HAH I sound like Dixon of Dock Green lol. Finally caught up with all the garden work and hoping for a relaxing day tomorrow. I see they have finally started on about Alex Salmond, took then long enough. I don’t know if he did or he didn’t, but I have a question. :confused2:
This was supposed to have happened back in 2013, why wait till now?
If somebody tried to abuse me I’d not be silent for 5 years. I’d be roaring about it from the time it happened.
Just been on the Evening News, Alex Salmond’s Crowdfunder is over. Seems he raised twice the amount he was needing. Oh Boy, nice smack in the chops for those Tory Twerps lol. Lol.
Good Afternoon Each,a dull cloudy one here again…been busy catching up with writing My memoirs the past couple of days.
Interesting about the wily auld Alex…looking forward to the outcome I must say :-p
Morning May, No swimming for me this morning wall to wall fog and it’s really thick. Himself wouldn’t let me drive over to Thurso in it. Hoping I will get there around 11am, or I’m snookered for the day.
STILL no Jess, this is really strange, I sent her a PM a week ago but still had no reply.
Oh Well, will see what bother I can get myself into today, have a good un Girl.
Good Morning Roxy and Anyone looking in…Aye,I’m a bit concerned about Jessie too even if She can’t get logged on here for some reason,She would still receive Our PMs in Her e mail but She wouldn’t be able to reply unless She knew Our e mail add’s,
I heard on the radio that the fog was bad up Your way, hope it clears soon,it’s a bright sunny one here…no plans today just taking it as it comes…have a good one.x
Morning All Lovely and sunny here today, am in the mood for a decent walk so I’m driving over to John o Groats then up to Duncansby and along the cliffs past the Sea Stacks. Hoping it won’t be too busy as most of the Tourists are away now the English Schools are back.
Have a nice day…
Good Morning Each,a glorious sunny one here so Friend and I are off for a run over to Strathclyde Park for a 4 mile walk around the Loch then Lunch in restaurant…have a good one Folks,x
Morning, Still dark out as it’s only 4.30am. I hate being wide awake at this time as it screws me up royally for the day. I normally get up at 6.15 and leave for the pool at 7am. Now I’ll be tired about 5.30 and want to go back to sleep, then I’ll miss my swim. Have a feeling it’s going to be one of those days
Hope you enjoyed your jaunt yesterday May.
Good Morning Roxy,I hate when that happens as You say it screws up Your day,
Friend has been advised to lose weight by His Doc’ so He’s asked Me to be His weight loss/fitness trainer…Sheesh!..that means I’ll have to be ‘good’ too… .He never walks anywhere if He can help it,so I thought Strathclyde Loch would be a bit ambitious…decided a walk round Lanark Loch would be better to start with…Then We had a light lunch outside in the sunshine after…fab’
Good morning everybody. Thanks for your concern about me, I’ve been away on holiday and before I went, I tried to post to let yous know for some reason I couldn’t get on here, I’m now back and ready to chat away like the clappers.
Afternoon All Good to have you back Jess. We did have a couple of new gentlemen join us here but neither has been on for several days so it’s back to us I guess. Has a lovely morning, been wallowing in the water at the Health Suite with a pal. Steam Room, Sauna, Hot tub and the Pool. Fair enjoyed it made a real change from just swimming lengths.
Hi Roxy, thanks for the welcome back. I wonder where the men have disappeared to. It was a lovely day here, and managed to get a bit done in the garden so will have to get some plants.
Hello again. Not sure if I’m one of those gentlemen you were referring to. Life’s been a tad dull and mundane here in Callander of late.
We had to scrap our car recently and can’t afford another one just yet. So we don’t get out a lot. I’m so grateful for my bus pass to get into Stirling when necessary.
I’m finding it a bit awkward to lean over two sleeping chihuahuas on my lap to use the keyboard.
Good morning to all. We’re up at the usual 5:40am! Which is the time that our two chihuahuas have decreed is their breakfast time. So after we drag ourselves out of bed and struggle to the kitchen. We eventually get them fed and the kettle on. What’s the first thing they do after breakfast? Promptly fall back to sleep again! Apparently, totally exhausted after their early morning exertions!
Have a good weekend everyone. Whatever you’ve got planned.
