Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Good evening everybody. Some snow up on the hills here, it turned out a lovely day after all the rain yesterday. Lets hope spring is on the way.

Afternoon All :039: Mother’s Day will never be the same again for me as my own Mother passed away yesterday. I knew it would not be long as she was 101 last August and was getting frail, but it was a hell of a shock all the same. She’d had a good day, been up and dressed, sat and chatted with the others in the home, she’d decided to go to her room for a rest after dinner and when they checked on her a short time later…She was away. Heading back to Perth overnight to get everything sorted.

Roxy, I’m so very sorry to hear about your dear Mum, my heartfelt condolences to you and your family…

Condolences to You and Yours on the loss of Your Mum Roxy,She lived to a great age and slipped away peacefully in Her sleep the way all of Us would hope to go when it’s Our time xxx

Roxy so sorry to hear about your mum. She lived a long and independent life.xx

Thank You All, Got back to Perth about 4ish this morning and been on the phone for ages sorting things. The Undertaker is coming to see me later today and sort out for the Funeral.

Afternoon Each,it’s a fine mild one here so been out in the back garden cleaning out shed/storage unit, getting rid of used paint/emulsion cans etc’…also had My old sofa and tumbledryer uplifted by council for free…is it nearly Spring? :-p

Always sad arranging a Funeral for a Parent Roxy and having to dispose of the contents of Their Homes They lived in for so long ((((((hugs)))))))

Good morning. everybody. May we have to pay here for things to get up lifted. Staying home today and doing some things around here, also some shopping. Its hard arranging a funeral for anyone, parent or child.

Good Morning Each,it’s a chilly damp one here…food shopping this morning then feet up for the rest of the day Methinks.
I think We get 3 free uplifts a year here Jessie.hope I wont need them again had enough of clearing up and flung out all that needed flinging out

Good morning everybody. Looks cold and windy here this morning, off into town later. May I’ve been busy clearing out clothes I don’t wear, will have to get them to the charity shop.

Morning All :039: dry today but that’s about all I can say for it. Got the Minister coming tomorrow for a chat with myself and daughter. Funeral is Tuesday at 9.30am. Glad it’s early I just want to get it all over with…

Good afternoon everybody. Roxy, You’ll be glad hen its all over and everything is back to normal. Really cold wind here today and showers at times. Had my hair done then into town to M&S for some food shopping.

Good morning Each,it’s a bitter one here with sleat and freezing winds, had intended to go to Tesco shopping but just went to the local Co-OP instead as it’s nearer.
Giving this Forum a miss for a while as there’s nothing but bickering, negativity, and scaremongering going on in most threads.

Hope all goes smoothly with Your Mums Funeral next week Roxy.xx

Good morning everybody. No rain or sleet here yet at the moment, staying home today and getting some housework done. Chat later May

Afternoon All :039: What a heap of snow again, it was freezing when I took the dog out. Hope to heavens it doesn’t get much worse…

Afternoon All :039: What a lovely day it’s turned out to be, the sun’s melted the rest of the snow and I got 3 ropes of washing dried. Fair chuffed. Took a long walk up the river after lunch and feel quite tired so am having a jama evening in front of the telly.
It’s mums funeral tomorrow morning and I’m starting to get quite nervous about it.

Morning All :039: Errm…Where is everybody? I’m beginning to feel a wee bit odd here on my own…

Good morning, Roxy - have had a hectic few days so not really online a lot.

Lovely morning here. Are you doing anything special over the weekend?

Morning L.T. I’m still down in Perth after mum’s funeral, just spending time with my sisters and a couple of friends I don’t see much these days. Going to hopefully get into the garden this afternoon for a while as the sun’s out and it’s quite pleasant. Not going out tonight as I want to catch up on the weeks TV that I recorded. But going out for a meal with the family tomorrow evening…

Sorry, Roxy - as I said, I haven’t been online recently so didn’t know about your sad loss. I hope all went well with the service. Please take time to be good to yourself.
