I’m away on Sunday for 2 nights … visiting Nottingham and going on the train to Ely …, the smallest city with a beautiful cathedral … somewhere on my ā€œmust seeā€ list

Good morning Each from a wet chilly Glasgow…Have a fab time Myrtle,it looks like I’ll be here on My todd until Jessie gets back from Her hols.

You’ll not be lonely nor bored May … the forum’s ā€œlivelierā€ at the moment so plenty to keep you amused

That’s true Myrtle, heh heh…a bit TOO lively at times

Good afternoon everybody. Got back early this morning and stayed with my niece and she dropped me off today. Had a lovely time but a bit to hot for me at times, so I stayed in the shade. What forums are you talking about I will have to check it out.

Have you wimmin folks , completely subjugated all the Scottish chaps then or are they doon the pub?

Good Afternoon Each, and welcome back Jessie…it’s a windy one here but bright and sunny,

There only is one Scottish Chap on this Forum Nom as far as I know, and He rarely pays this thread a visit…I haven’t a clue how to entice any other Laddies, though any advice from You would be most welcome

Thanks May, the weather was the same here today. Nom, where are all the Scottish men are they in hiding ?.

Morning folks, VJ i reckon its May has them scared, zshe keeps hopping over the border and she has a reet viscous tongue on her, my poor lugs are still ringing. :(::

Good Morning Each,it’s a bright sunny one here and I’ve been out cutting the grass and pottering about in the garden,

Oooo Nom,a viscious tongue…Moi?. :surprised:…I haven’t been ower the Border for a long time so I think You’re getting Me mixed up with My wee Sister Nicola…She’s a nippy sweety right enough :-p

Good evening. Nom you have a pretty good scots slang there. May got a bit of gardening done myself today.Just trying to get it tided up a bit and then start getting some plants.

Hello and welcome home Jess :039:

I’m back from my two nights away and I’ve had a great time buzzing about. I managed to keep the Scottish connection going even though I’ve not been on the forum … I had a lovely chat today with a couple from Arbroath who are on holiday in Nottinghamshire

Jess … it’s THIS forum that’s livened up ;-).

Good Morning Each from a very wet mild Glasgow,I didn’t wake up until 9am so into winter mode already and I feel that half the morning’s gone with nothing done,so I’m just going to have a lazy day.

Glad You had such a great time Myrtle, did You understand the Arbroath accent ok? :-p

Good morning

My sister-in-law was from near Edinburgh and had the lovely Scottish ā€œliltā€ to her voice and it was no problem when chatting to her BUT when she had her family with her I couldn’t understand a word they were saying when she reverted to her true Scots way of speaking  The couple from Arbroath were in English mode
