The Snowy River in summer

I personally don’t go anywhere near the Snowies in winter but they are pleasantly cool in summer

In summer our hottest day is over 100 degrees

Hi Pimmy, I imagine your climate are hot and humid and uncomfortable. I was in Libya and that was hot too but very dry so not so comfortable.

@Besoeker Yes, you’re absolutely right, in the hot season it really is exactly as you described, and honestly it can be almost unbearable for me.
At the moment though, we’ve just come out of the rainy season. It’s still warm, but more comfortable, with temperatures around the low 20s up to the low 30s Celsius.
It’s really nice to hear from you again. It feels like we haven’t spoken for quite a while.

Hi Pimmy. Thank for your thoughts - and I’m still here !
Yes, I have the hot and humid weather including Taiwan and The Philippines - and that weather ! By contrast I was on a ship in drydock in Canada and that was around -18C,

@Besoeker Yes, exactly. Thailand’s climate is very similar to Taiwan and the Philippines, hot, humid, and sometimes exhausting  and I’m glad you’re still here.

@Pimmy Yes, here and ancient so I don’t travel much these days. I walk with wee dog these days - the Collie, Max, died a couple years ago and now we have a Springer Spaniel and she is a delight.

That sounds lovely. I’m sorry about Max, losing a loyal companion is never easy. Your Springer Spaniel sounds like a real joy.

Thanks @Pimmy.
A few years ago we had family over from the USA, Our grandson got attached to Max. Actually, Max kept the wee lad from straying.

Lots of countries doing Fahrenheit, old colonies type places. I remember people talking that language, but I was too young to be interested. I’m a Centigrade baby, at 73 that’s the only language I know.

Melbourne for Sunday. Cloudy. Very high chance of rain. A thunderstorm likely during the morning and afternoon, possibly severe with damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding about the nearby hills.
Merry Xmas!

It must mess up most of the usual fun at christmas … snowmen, sleighs …reindeers.
What’s the Aussie equivalent?

Well, I’m a bit older so for school we had degF. Then later it was dedC and thereafter. That said, my sister and my cousins still use F. My wife is from USA she now uses degC, especially for cooking.
