Our Official Slimming Club Thread - open to everyone

Hope you feel a bit better this morning Linda.

We are having:

Pork Belly Strips, boiled potatoes, cauliflower cheese and peas.

Thank you, Susie. I’m about the same. This cold just doesn’t want to let go. Still no appetite, although I’m making sure I try and eat just because I have to. Maybe one day I’ll be able to eat because I want to. I’m starting to get a little concerned, though, because this is the longest I’ve ever gone without an appetite, that I can remember. Lack of appetite is normal for me when I have a cold and this cold is lasting unusually long, but once the cold is gone and if my appetite still doesn’t come back, I think I should see my doctor.

Hi Linda, I would make an appointment with your Doctor as soon as possible, he might be able to give you some sort of build me up tonic. Have you tried eating soup or scrambled eggs etc.

I’ve tried everything and I can never get through it all. Then today I REALLY messed myself up by taking a medication that clears up chest congestion. It actually works very well, but it also nauseated me and made me super drowsy.

~sigh~

Can’t win for losin’.

Morning all.

I feel sorry for you Linda, hope you get better soon, make that appointment NOW!

Having a roast today with Gammon.

I really can’t. I don’t have insurance and every doctor visit comes out of my pocket and I just can’t afford it right now. I’m still trying to pay down doctor bills from previous visits.

I made myself a nice pasta dish to take to work for lunch today, so hopefully it’s appealing enough to me by lunchtime that I actually eat it. It’s penne pasta in a light, creamy sauce (just a touch of sauce, not a lot) with peas, chopped broccoli, red bell pepper, small shrimp and sea scallops. I love scallops. I love how silky smooth, tender and sweet they are. So here’s hoping I enjoy it! I better enjoy it, or I’m kicking my own arse, lol.

That sounds nice actually Linda.

What is your occupation?

Thanks, I’m sure it will be yummy, provided I’ve got the appetite to get it down.

I work in an office. A small office, it’s just me and my boss. He’s an independent businessman, so I basically just do typical office stuff, like paperwork, computer, etc. It’s nothing exciting, trust me!

Having Gammon today with all the roast trimmings.

Had a salad for the last two days and thoroughly enjoyed them.

Tonight we are going for pork chops, potatoes, vegetables and gravy.

Well, my lack of appetite finally caught up to me, I guess. I’ve lost 5 pounds since last Friday (the 20th)

But my appetite is making a slow comeback. Ate quite a bit yesterday (compared to what I’ve been eating) and right now I’m having 3 small pancakes and a scrambled egg. The egg doesn’t taste all that great to me at the moment, but the pancakes are good.

I’m also making a pot of ham & bean soup. That sounded good to me as well.

I’m glad you are getting to eat a bit Linda, keep it up.

Thanks, Susie, I shall try. I don’t like losing weight because of some illness. It worries me when I lose weight without even trying. Granted, I’ve been sick, no appetite and diarrhea surely hasn’t helped. But I’d rather be overweight and fairly healthy than losing weight because I’m ill.

Today its

Fish, Chips and Mushy peas.

I’m having half of a meatloaf sandwich and a cup of my ham & bean soup I made. Taking that to work for lunch today.

We are having Lambs Liver and Mash today.

Today I am making:

Chicken Curry, Rice and Spring Roll.

I’m still trying to get through my bean soup I made. One more day and then I’ll pitch out what’s left. Taking bean soup to work and banana.

Today we had:-

Cajan Chicken Breasts, Roast Potatoes, Cabbage, Carrots and gravy.

I made a soup over the weekend, didn’t make as much this time so lovely and warming with a sandwich.

Brought some into work today with a sandwich, looking forward to it.
