Chicken curry & rice today.

Just a sandwich for me this morning with my coffee (Iā€™m off work for a couple of days, hence Iā€™m seeing mornings!).

Lunch today is ham sandwich with lettuce, tomato and onion on whole grain bread with 2 hard-boiled eggs on the side. But what I REALLY want is a big basket of fish & chips, fried clams, fried oysters, fried shrimp, coleslaw and hush puppies, plenty of tartar sauce and malt vinegar as condiments and a huge cup of iced raspberry lemonade to wash it down.

Linda, I agree, that all sounds amazing so Ill book my flight :slight_smile:

What are hushpuppies?

Roast chicken dinner tonight. Its one of those perfect days, hot and sunny with a stiff breeze so no bother at all cooking and eating

A hushpuppy is a small, savory, deep-fried ball made from cornmeal-based batter. Hushpuppies are frequently served as a side dish with seafood and other deep-fried foods.

They look like deep fried dumplings

Not quite dumplings, though. Basically theyā€™re deep-fried balls of cornbread.

They say Floydy, eat hot things in the heat, like Chillies and Hot Tea to cool you down, I love my Curries.

You could be right there, Susie. They say a cup of tea is more refreshing than a cold drink.

I canā€™t stand the heat, have a very low tolerance for it. Plus I deal with hot flushes on a regular basis. So give me the cold drink.

Well, my breakfast as such was a tub of Strawberry Muller rice at 11 am. I couldnā€™t sleep last night and so Iā€™ve been in and out of bed like a yo-yo through the night, finally catching up with me this morning on a five-hour slumber.

As Iā€™m going to the gym soon, apart from a protein snack I wonā€™t be eating anything else now until my evening meal which is likely to be a bacon and cheese pasta meal, oven cooked. :-p

Not a lot of food there Floydy but plenty of Carbs.

Thatā€™s what itā€™s about, Susie. gets one through a training sessionā€¦and one of which I put in today :slight_smile:

Today its Salmon Salad.

Roast chicken dinner today.

Boiled Egg Salad today.

Wholemeal bread sandwich with chicken slices, chicken mayo, cheddar and lettuce.
