My own fault, I know ready made anything is going to be horrible but I was seduced by these yesterday. May as well ate a box of dust they were that dry and bland
When I make fishcakes I add chopped capers, gherkins, a hard boiled egg, tarter sauce etc to them so they are bursting with moisture and flavour
Im copying your livers and courgettes for using another day
Thatās too bad about your salmon cakes. But I agree that itās best to make your own. Iāve bought ready-made stuff like that before too and it sure looked better than it tasted. So when it comes to salmon cakes, crab cakes, etc, I prefer to make them myself.
Well, whether or not youāre being good depends on the kind of chicken salad youāre having. Chicken salad can rack up the calories fast, depending on what itās made with.
Iām having creamy chicken soup with seashell pasta and veggies and a tomato sandwich.
Cornish Pastie, mmmmmm. Love those things. My sonās grandma is Welsh and has made them a few times. She doesnāt make the traditional Welsh Pasties, though, with the jam and currants and all that stuff. She prefers the Cornish style pasties. I could eat those things on a regular basis. I need to start making them myself here at home.
Today for me I had a bowl of hot wheat cereal and a piece of toast. Iāve been having gut problems lately. Upset stomach and many trips to the bathroom, if you get my meaning. Iāve been under a lot of stress and itās wreaking havoc on my digestive system.
Big charity event last night so had house guests staying so it was 5 am before we got to bed after a serious nights drinking
So it was a full Irish at lunchtime , which was required to cure the sore heads
Now they are building up another sore head after going down the pub for the match and racing and itās so muggy and sticky I cba cooking again so itās chinese take out again tonight
Iāve one more function this month then Iām back to being good Iām too old for this partying all night lol
Itās been hot hot hot here as well. In the 90ās and 105-107 with the heat index. However, the last 2 days have been in the 80ās with lower humidity, so weāre getting a small break from the heat before the temps go back up again.
Well thats the end of the partying now. Our friend got killed yesterday so Tuesday is a wake now not a party
So I was out there tonight, a 3 mile walk in 35 mins, helps to get the excesses of the weekend off and have signed up for a 12 mile coastal hike for September in aid of Parkinsonās. Well Im actually doing it for LUCAS which is an arm of Parkinsonās or something like that
Back to work at 5am in the morning and back to eating sensibly
Got killed on the practice day of the Skerries Road race. Bike went over a speed hump and when it landed it broke the sump and spilled oil all over his back wheel
A really crappy week tbh , William being killed , his uncle Joeyās (deceased) head machanic fighting for his life after an accident the same day
But thatās the route they travel and no one will stop them.
So it wonāt be a wake , it will be a bigger party, we will celebrate their lives along with thousands who didnāt know him personally but loved him for what he did
Not sure what Iām having today. Taking my son car shopping. Then we have to stop and pick up milk and a few other things, so perhaps I should eat something now so Iām not starving while out running around. The problem is, I just got up a little bit ago and Iām not hungry yet, which is why I never (or very rarely) eat breakfast.
