Oh, as for what I’m eating today, no clue. Getting a late start to work because the kids were on a 2-hour delay today because of the snow, so I didn’t get my son to school until 9:00 (instead of 7:00) and I don’t really have anything to grab to take with me. So I might just stop and get a sandwich somewhere.

Today its:

Lambs Liver, Mash potatoes, Peas, thick onion gravy and onion rings.

Dang, that sounds delicious.

I’m having leftovers for lunch today. Mashed potatoes with hamburger gravy. Just a small bowl. I don’t want to eat too much for lunch.

Supposed to get snow tonight. I love snow.

The Liver was very tasty Linda, not strong in taste and very, very soft.

Well I was very naughty today and I don’t care :slight_smile:

I went down with a cold yesterday so only had a cheese and ham sandwich at morning break, certainly didn’t fancy the dinner I cooked

So today, around 2 ish i finally felt hungry whilst in town so went to a little resturaunt and had a ciabatta filled with little meatballs, mozzarella and chillies. Was served with chips and salad. I managed most of the ciabatta but only about a third of the chips

Lovely it was and I’m not feeling too bad about eating it as hadn’t eaten Monday and just chicken casserole on Sunday

My personal favorite is chicken livers. There used to be a cute little pub’ish type place I went to occasionally during my lunch break from work (an old job I had about 20 years ago) that made the absolute best fried chicken livers. Oh my, they were heavenly. So decadently rich. To me it was like eating savory chocolate :lol:

You go, girl. Eat that yummy food and enjoy it. And hope you feel better soon.

Today I am making Homemade Shepherd Pie’s, one for today the other in the freezer, with vegetables.

Sounds good. Today for lunch I’m going to have a sandwich and tomato soup. That sounds good. Got a bunch of snow overnight, so the kids are out of school and I’m home from work, so it’s a good day for soup :slight_smile:

Do you girls feel tired after you eat. I could have a nap every day as soon as I eat. It seems like my body is using all it’s energy to digest the food and I have to sleep.

Your meals all sound delicious. I don’t eat as much as you do. I don’t like to cook…and I am alone.

But what’s for dinner Linda? I hope you are having more than a sandwich and soup.

I’m like Linda, most of the time, I have a sandwich with a salad or soup…sometimes Just a sandwich and some yogurt. I cook soom pasta sometimes, but that is a lot of carbs so I don’t do it often.

I can’t really say I’m tired after I eat because I’m tired most of the time anyway. Once menopause hit, it screwed me up completely.

Naturally I feel tired after a big meal, like most people do. But I only eat a big meal once a week (Sunday dinner).

Oh of course! I’ve been addicted lately to making myself burritos. I spread the tortilla with con queso and a little sour cream, then I add some beans, jasmine rice, diced onion, diced tomato, shredded lettuce, avocado when I have it, then drizzle it with a little picante sauce, roll it up and eat it hot. It’s just something I threw together one night with leftover/extra ingredients I had hanging around and now I make batches of rice and baked beans just to make that burrito. I’ve been eating them pretty much nightly. I usually have it with some soup or pasta salad or maybe some shrimp or pierogies or whatever I have to use as a side.

Thanks, they’re very yummy (my burritos). I’m addicted. I’ll eventually get tired of them and move on to something else.

I have never yet had a nap during the day, my Husband often falls asleep and the Cat, but not me.

My son is coming on the week-end for lunch. I have copied your recipe and going to serve them. He will love them.

I take naps sometimes when I’ve got the house to myself or if I’m especially tired.

Cool, hope you all like them. You can add whatever you want to them, really. Shredded cheese or other burrito type things. I eat a lot of wraps. Sometimes they’re Mexican’ish and sometimes they’re just ham & cheese and sometimes even salad. I like making a chopped lettuce salad and wrap the salad up into a tortilla. It’s especially good with some shrimp thrown in there.

Last night I added green bell pepper to my burrito. And I need to make another batch of jasmine rice. I used the last of what I had.
