I have on occasion got a connection but that is as rare as me knowing an answer on University Challenge.

I thought that the wall yesterday was almost solvable. It was easy to spot the Welsh towns. The anagrams of big cats was mostly identifiable. Same with the preceded by “under”. Most often I’m completely stumped but the wall that team (with the strange captain) got was markedly easier than the second wall.
I also got a couple of the earlier rounds of connections (such as the 2016 PHS one) - which is unusual.
