90’s. Also good for My Bloody Valentine.Only one album but it was worth it.
60s Mamas and the Papas (California Dreamin’)
70s The Bee Gees
80s Dire Straits
These are chosen as they are most likely to bring up the strongest emotional memories of those decades. But in reality “favourites” would be a long list. There is just so much good stuff through every decade. We have been blessed with an explosion of musical talent & innovation in the last 50 years. (just got back from a music festival!)
I haven’t named one from the 90s yet. It was a great decade, and some of my faves were:
Supergrass, Stone Roses, Suede, Oasis, The Verve. And from across the water REM, Nirvana.
Hmmmm …
60s Beatles, Stones, Bob Dylan, Georgie Fame, Kinks, The Who, Animals, Dusty Springfield
70s Queen, Eagles, Billy Joel, Abba, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon
80s Annie Lennox, Phil Collins, Sting, Eric Clapton, Kate Bush, Stevie Wonder
I could go on… (Sorry, I know it’s supposed to be one per decade, oops!)
