Yes, best wishes to Mart and Besoeker, and hope that you will both be up and running so to speak…I do hope that Mrs Mart will be fit enough to come home before Christmas, and wish her a speedy recovery. It sounds like she is on the mend.
I know the NHS comes in for plenty of criticism just lately, but I have never experienced anything but caring professionals and first class treatment from the sharp end of the medical profession…I’ve always felt safe and relieved in their hands.

Yes they are all very good. The nurses are always happy to help. I know that reads like a notice  …but they really are.

Booked for 5 days of radio therapy on the Prostate area in mid December. Scans and blood tests to be done before that.

Mrs mart is still in hospital and hasn’t got a voice yet. I’m not sure what the long-term prospects are.

Have you been able to see her? You mentioned that she was being moved to a rehab hospital that isn’t so easy for you to get to. It must be so frustrating to not be able to communicate normally on a phone when you are so far apart.

WhatsApp has been a boon for chatting to each other but I have still managed to see her every day so far. The hospital is about 20 minutes away down some fast roads. Not reachable by bus but our daughter has been driving it up until yesterday. She has left now but our son is here for almost another two weeks and he will drive it. I can (and have) driven it but they see it as their place to take over the care of both of us. They both live abroad but have come here especially to do this.

Much of their work is Internet-based, so they can still carry on with it while they are here.

I’m sure I don’t really deserve them but yes, they are doing a grand job.

I’ve just got the one daughter Mart, and she lives just ten miles away…And used to be a carer in a nursing home, just like her mum…It’s a win, win, situation for me…
Not sure about having a bed bath off either of them though…

They sound a great pair of kids Mart. It must be making all the difference to you.

There are another two. They live locally and they will check up on me every day when this one goes back to Germany …just to make sure I haven’t pegged it while unattended.

I’d keep an eye on eBay to see if they’ve started to sell the family assets.

An early appointment at the hospital. I will be given an injection at the Department of Nuclear Medicine at 9.20 a.m. Then go home for three hours while it circulates throughout the body. Back in the hospital for 12.30 p.m. to have a whole body bone scan.
