NSW Takes Its Covid Money from Bank Accounts

The NSW Government has started taking money out of people’s bank accounts for the $3000 hotel fee incurred by people arriving back from overseas during the pandemic. Arrivals were required to spend 2 weeks in a Quarantine Hotel if they arrived from overseas during this time.

They have been warned for two years that they owed the money but the government’s patience has finally run out and they are garnisheeing wages and bank accounts.

They are also claiming Queensland owes $100 million for their citizens held in NSW.
