novak and his team have clearly breached the covid rules of the country - however on first pass the high courts ruling did ring a note of compassion and leniency - not so from our Tory govt - Novak team are no doubt re-grouping and may consider another high court appeal and so it may go on ? - but none come unscathed from this. It will to some extent affects Novaks concentration on his own game ; it affects the voting popn of this country and their view concerning the soon to be fought next election in OZ which our Tory govt have concerns about. It also affects our standing in the international communities. All in all there are errors on all sides however we need to consider our errors of compassion also?
Our government aren’t faring any better Gumbud, we are also the laughing stock of the world.
The tournament should have been kicked into the long grass anyway. People from across the world bringing diseases into Oz. It doesn’t matter whether they were vaccinated or tested, tests don’t show up for at least three days after being infected, and being vaxxed is no guarantee that you are not a carrier, it’s just harder to spot in vaxxed person.
This isn’t about health or safety its about rules

apparently some of the countries with the highest rates of vaccinations have also got the highest rates of infections - now you work that one out? - I’ll give ya a clue perhaps something isn’t workin like we thought it would?

Yes the numbers .
The developed countries who are more vaccinated also have much bigger populations and also more effective reporting .
The vaccine works, it’s proven. Our ICUs are filled with people wishing they had got the shot. Better than being hooked up to a ventilator. I have yet to read one report (substantiated report) that the vaccine has any adverse side effects. So if you’re objective is to start a conspiratorial off shoot to this thread, by insinuating the vaccine doesn’t work. Consider the fact that this Country wouldn’t let in an unvaccinated person who tested positive. This is a disease there is no “grassy knoll” for the love of all that’s holy!
