Nottingham Helicopter ride

I’m so pleased you had a great time and the weather was good. I love helicopters which is just as well as we live near Yeovilton and hear them overhead frequently.

I went on a helicopter trip around New York a few years ago and although it was expensive it was an amazing experience.

If you like flying have a go at gliding, it’s the ultimate experience of knowing what it’s like to be a bird

Nice trip, I had one in Iceland which took me up to a geothermal area, over a few ‘extinct’ volcanos, some geothermal factories which pumped hot water to Reykjavik and then back to Reykjavik

Sorry Barry for the delay in posting on your thread.
What a lovely looking couple you make. I am pleased you both enjoyed your day, it looked perfect in every way.

I just wondered… did your wife try and stand on the top of the helicopter, like she did on the wing of the biplane for charity a few years ago?!!
Even writing that last sentence made my legs go all funny!!

Haha, it’s a fact @Artangel that if she’s been a good girl I always let her sit inside these days, infact as a treat I even let her sit inside when we went to Australia a couple of years back…

Brilliant photos Barry, and what a splendid day out. I’ve run round Nottingham on many occasions while doing the Robin Hood Marathon. Sadly those days are gone now, but I’d love to do it in the helicopter. My mother came from Nottingham, and her mother worked for John Player, I kept up the family tradition by smoking the produce for many years…
Thanks for sharing…My kind of adventure…
