Your poor daughter !
My friends daughter actually moved from her HA very nice spacious flat into small private accommodation.when a family of druggies were moved in below her . She said she could not bring up a little child hearing their noise and swearing everyday .
The HA were amazed when she handed back her keys
Before we bought our first house around here, we lived for a short time in a rented house in Sale.
The couple next door, presumably young, were at it every evening…
and the walls were very thin.
I won’t go in to unnecessary detail, but they were embarrassingly fit and able to proceed for extended periods.
Amusing rather than annoying, to be honest.
Because at the moment they do not have one between them, if you get what I mean. Yes, it could also mean more benefits, and maybe a council house. Says the inner cynical me.
I had neighbours in the flats at it, but the worst was when I had a room in Athens when mum was transferred to the hospital there, the couple next door were incredibly noisy. Thank goodness they only stayed one night: I was so pleased to see them loading up the car to leave.
All of my present tenants have a vetted guarantor co-signatory to the lease or they do not become my tenants. I was bitten once long ago and I vowed never again will I suffer from a non conforming low standards tenant. Having a guarantor has proven to be most desirable as every tenant is problem free and feedback from any neighbours has always been positive even if they too are my tenants👍
Yes that would be desirable, but the problem would be enforcing said laws, so I stick with contract laws which are far far easier to apply. A signed lease with it’s restrictions clearly stated is the best tool IMO as it works well for me
