I bought another Epson printer yesterday (XP-2250) as a standby as my XP-700 needs the ink pads replaced. I have ordered new ones and will sort out when I get them.
Problem is, on the new printer, it does print some pages from my iPad, but when I want to print a few pages from a document, I get the message on the iPad, ‘No air printers found’.
The test sheet that was printed states that network connection has passed. So that is good.
Anyone got any ideas on this?
This may help:

Thanks Omah.
I will study that and give it a try.
I have tried to get that, but it is not giving me the answer. On the search, for ‘No air printers found’ it starts showing about AirPods and bank statements.
I have spent a couple of hours on it. Getting a bit frustrated with it.
I think it’s highly likely that the XP2250 has no AirPrint interface - I have the XP2200 and that doesn’t:
Mobile and Cloud printing services
Epson Smart Panel App, Epson Creative Print App, Epson Connect (Email Print, Remote Print Driver)
Whereas your XP700 certainly did:
Mobile and Cloud printing services
Epson Connect (iPrint, Email Print, Remote Print Driver, Scan-to-Cloud), Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print
The solution may be to load an Epson App onto your Ipad:
ETA I have just installed and tested it on my Android Phone - it worked first time …
I spent a few hours on my PC and printer this morning, because I cannot make a simple copy from the printer. I get an error code. Also because of my model, and running w8.1, it would seem I cannot download an app or suitable software.
I can print a document from the computer, but when trying to scan something in it didn’t do too well. So my issue is. Do I spend £500 odd on a new PC (with dvd drive), or spent on a new printer? Nothing really wrong with either.
Frustrates me no end.
Printers are a right pain in the do da .
I got rid of mine ages ago, do I miss it errr NO as don’t need copies.
Possible it would be essential, if I work from home …
If I need to print and send something I ask can I email it …simple.
Your decision will depend on your needs.
If you’re an infrequent PC user then a new machine would be a cost burden
If you’re a frequent PC user then a new model will astound you with its performance and justify the cost
By comparison, a new printer would be a tenth of the price of a new PC but it may well not function well with the old PC
If you do buy a new PC then you may find that you need a new router, too (especially if it’s as old as the PC)
I would always advise that if a PC setup is causing repeated and unnecessary stress then replace it (if finances permit)
Router is about 3 years old, when I took on BT broadband.
The that shouldn’t need replacing.

Enough is enough for today.
I still can’t get the printer and iPad to mate.
I shall try again tomorrow. There is no ports that I could plug in a usb to it.
At the mention of PCs, gone are the days that I would build my own.
The one I still have, has not been switched on for a few years. Even my laptop don’t get used much. It’s now iPads and iPhones.
Have you contacted customer service .
Yes I did try one that I found online (text) that turned out to be a scam. When it told me it was going to transfer me to a specialist, and then said it would cost £1 and wanted bank details…. Ooops not likely.
I shall try again with a real one if I can find one.
Sorted.
I found a way on ‘Epson smart panel’. I printed the document that I needed, but each page on a single sheet… But now I have to find a way for it to print both Sides of a sheet.
Ho hum…
That sounds like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut …
… but, if it works then you can not only print but wil have fringe benefits …
