He handed me a letter with this as it’s content.
"In recognition of the high standard in which you are performing your role we are delighted to confirm that your rate of pay will increase to …
This increase will be effective from 5/07/2023.
On behalf of the company we would like to thank you for your ongoing support and contribution to the business."
The rise represents an increase of 7.5 %. On top of an 8% increase 6 months ago.
Well that is nice so much so that you not had to ask for it .

When I look back I realise how mean spirited my old boss was . 1 pay rise in 9 yrs , I think it was about 20p an hour .
