New Health Discoveries Whether Good or Not So

Considering I rely on my daily 150mg of aspirin (for blood platelet control) that originally came from the willow tree, this is rather bad news from my point of view.

At the University of California-Davis they are trying to use the venom from tarantulas to develop a pain medication that they hope will reduce the use of opioids.

I would imagine that habitat destruction will damage that work in the long run. One of the Indian Tarantulas we have, in the wild, is on the very edge of extinction & what we breed cannot be wild released.

Imagine having a species so rare it is only found in 3 tea plantations. Would you allow them to turn one of those 3 plantations into a holiday resort & destroy that habitat? India did.
