To give some understanding of Micro four thirds it relates to the sensor size in the camera . This is that much smaller than a full frame camera. Because the sensor is smaller the lens in mm (distance) is double that of a full frame camera. The camera are generally smaller and also are lenses that use this size are smaller and lighter.
Ideal for older people or with unsteady hands , Panasonic have inbuilt image stablisation in the camera and also in most of the lenses of the same make. Therfore double how steady the camera can be held
Having recently purchased a new lens ( Panasonic mft 35-100 lens) in full frame terms that would be 70-200mm. Every review says how sharp the photos are. so to give some idea of distance I used my compact camera “as a guide only” with the same shot @24mm = 48mmFF
now the new lens at 100mm =200 FF
unedited and hand held.
No complaints, new that lens cost £1000 ,not that I paid anywhere near that getting it from Japan in “near mint” condition. In other words no box or instruction phamplet
The reviews seem to stand up from what I have found
