I would like to see any scientific information proving that about COVID. That was the laughing stock of the world.
So hypothetically what if some politician, say Boris, told a pharmaceutical company to make a vaccine that would stop Covid in itās tracks? It doesnāt matter what the long term effects of the vaccine might be because a couple of years down the line nobody will link the vaccine to illnesses that appear to be completely unrelated. So the company cobble together a vaccine in six months and ignore the correct testing period and unleash it on the general public.
Boris is happy and takes the credit for stopping covid, and the pharma company make lots of moneyā¦
So let me ask you one thing Lincsā¦If I take your advice and get vaccinated, and have serious side effects or even deathā¦Will you support my wife and my daughter?

so hypothetically if the government made no effort to protect us from a new dangerous virus and you ended up nearly dying and then having a heart condition from contracting that virus which completely changes your life then would that be ok?

The further down the mountain you descend, your responsibility diminishes.
Trying to further a discussion by accusing someone of a lack of responsibility suggests that you are taking the high moral ground and just virtue signallingā¦Do you think that people you donāt know care about you? Yes, we do have a responsibility to fellow humans, but lets not ignore our priorities.

OGF I had very bad side effects from the first vaccine. But a lot of people I know who didnāt have the vaccine and then contracted covid are either no longer with us or have long term health problems. Iāve had friends who were in intensive care having never been sick before. Covid itself was a very nasty virus when it first appeared. I think itās a bit of a lottery with a lot of these illnesses. Some recover, others have life changing consequences. I donāt regret having the first two rounds of vaccines, but I donāt continue to have them every year. It was an exceptional situation.
With measles I totally sympathise with those who do not want an MMR jab, but I would agree with single jabs completely because the illness is extremely nasty in some cases, leading to life-long disability or death. Similarly Polio.
I am happy that we no longer have to fear smallpox. I hope that doesnāt make a return. I do agree that itās an industry and I do agree with a right to choice, but if you choose not to have a vaccine there are consequences to society. I donāt think itās a black and white yes/no issue where one person is right or wrong.
I can see the whole supply chain we have disintegrating the way things are going so we may have to deal with these horrible disease outbreaks more and more.

No, it was mostly developed two decades ago with the last 90ās SARS epidemic. And at least 6 companies were independently developing the same vaccine - so not something made up in a few weeks by just one company. Yes, the full testing was accelerated - but given the death rate from Covid this was judged to be a worthwhile risk.
Anyway, this post is about measles. The vaccine for which is very, very safe and came close to eradicating the disease. Then along came some hippy-dippies who listened a rogue doctorās fake paperā¦
Iām sorry to hear about your deceased friends and the ones suffering long covid. I would never recommend that people donāt have vaccines, I myself have had all the childhood vaccines available at the time and I would still recommend that my children have theirs (I did) but I strongly believe that all vaccines are not a silver bullet, and I reserve the right to pick and choose. I agree Annie, itās not all black and white, contrary to what some people think, the establishment do not always have your best interests at heart, and to think they do is very naive.
People should do their homework before administering anything into their systems, itās not like their isnāt a wealth of information out there nowadays.

But there were more death after the COVID vaccine out. The vaccine did not stop the spread of COVID, it did not immune anyone from catching COVID and it was never proven to reduce the severity of COVID.
