Like that Touch & Go track, Longfellow. Nice and mellow for a Friday evening
Jeez man! You’ve been busy tonight:shock:
She’s about a mover - what a great r’n’b track, haven’t heard that for a while. Best thing there though is the Stones’ Wild Horses. I always wonder if it was their song or Gram parsons’ version which came first? I keep forgetting to look it up to see who wrote it!
Great choices, bud:023:
Not to sure about Wild Horses but I will say I prefer listening to it on cd rather than live. Its sounds so much better I think.
By the way it was your fault I was busy you put my mind back into the early 70s on your other thread about first record bought.I kind of dropped back into my Speakeasy days.
Just checked out Wild Horse on their Hot Rocks album 64 to 71 and Jagger/Richards have their names beside it, if that helps.
I must be getting old I needed a magnifying glass to read the writing.
Thought it was to be honest, thanks.
I still prefer Flying Burrito Brothers’ version though
Long John Baldry - what a great vocalist he was. Shame he was only known for Let The Heartaches Begin, his only chart hit. He was an exceptional bluesman. Nice vid there
Joan Baez I couldn’t ever get on with tbh. I’m not a big fan of her voice. Bit shrill!
Phil Collins. On a good day, he could rock out like the best of 'em with Genesis, and I like his early solo work until he embraced the massive stardom that the Americans wanted - the pop schmaltz.
Keep 'em coming though buddy
Sorry Bobby this is the only thing I get up when I click on that connection.
