One for the flirting topic perhaps?

Since my egg has been subject to ridicule…

I am surprised you have them tbh Bob… they can expose you to EMFs. I wouldn’t personally use them (or microwaves)…

I’m surprised you have teflon pans Chilli! I haven’t used a teflon pan since moving out of my parents house - they are one of the worst types of pans you can have…

I know! :disappointed:

Get one like mine Chilli

If you don’t mind not having the lifetime warranty, and are ok with rivet handles, you can get two imported Zwilling pans for £80:

Thanks Azz!
I’ll certainly think about that, I’m not fussed about lifetime guarantees
My son has been reviewing stainless steel pans for about a week or so now, we’ll have a chat tomorrow :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

It’s even worse than that Azz. The EMF’s can severely affect my pacemaker but no problems so far.
I don’t, and never have had a microwave but not because of EMF’s, it’s because I don’t begrudge the time cooking things on the hob or in the oven, and I always think that microwaves are not a natural heating/cooking reaction.
Induction hobs don’t work the same as a microwave. They heat up the pan not the food.
I used induction heaters when I worked in the diamond tooling trade. They were in common use long before Induction hobs in the home were invented, heating up carbon moulds to several thousands of degrees C.

You’re joking!

My ex employer BHP had RF radiation metres to check the security of a microwave oven. The leakage is zero to negligible, far less than that from your 2.4g WIFI which uses the same frequency. If you don’t believe me look at the plate on your microwave

In fact if your 2.4g wifi plays up that is the time to check your microwave. Unless you damage it, it never will.

Otherwise you are just denying yourself the the most efficient, cleanest and quickest heater there is for absolutely no reason.

Love fried egg with one exception.

When I was kid and we went on a long journey (say Folkestone to Cheltenham) my mother would make sandwiches for us all.

Except for my old man, he insisted on making himself two fried egg sandwiches to take, by the time he ate them usually at Pangborne (before motorways) hours had passed and he ate these cold, greasy, fried egg sandwiches. They were disgusting!

Not at all Chilli - it was just a bit of leg pulling!
I seem to remember Nigella once saying that taste is more important than presentation - and she should know. :+1:

Having a clear out, any pan that looks like Teflon, is old scratched and unwanted.

£9.99 each.
