My latest creation

I don’t normally show my stuff off but I’m chuffed with how this has come out.

Wow! Just wow!

Wow Nicol, that’s beautiful.

That’s wonderful work Nicol

Wow you’re so talented Nicol!
How long did it take you?

Another wow! from me Nicol, that’s fantastic!

Thank you everyone :001:

There’s no talent Rhian, it’s just painting by numbers but using embroidery thread.

It is however painstaking, and that particular one I started…6 years ago

But…I started it then didn’t touch it for over 4 years as I simply didn’t have time to do it, and to be honest I got fed up as it was so intricate :o I picked it up again at the beginning of 2018 and I did an hour a night on it (any more and I get eye strain plus my hands are arthritic) and finished it a week or so ago. So it probably took about 18 months to do.

Well I know I for one couldn’t sew that neatly and intricately
Not in a month of Sundays!

Stunning simply stunning

Thats very good Nicol…my sister used to do counted cross stitch and to do something like your picture takes much talent and time. Its beautiful and such a lovely subject too.

Will you show it off and hang it up somewhere important and visible?

That has to be the best needlework I have ever seen. Fantastic Nicol.

That is simply fabulous - I love tigers and he is magnificent! You must have a lot af patience.

Beautiful work, Nicol and in a lovely frame too.

Very life like . And clever

Patience is all it takes really.

I have no artistic talents at all and am quite jealous of all you clever people who have the gift of creativity. I wish I had some talent.

These are some of the other embroideries I’ve done over the years, some are hidden away because I don’t really like them but most are on the wall that goes up the side of my stairs.

It’s really hard trying to avoid reflections on the glass!

I have no idea why you don’t like them Nicol. They are all fantastic.

They all look stunning Nicol, you must have a lot of patience to produce a lot of work like that… well done!

I don’t like that second one, the kit was sold as a wolf but it looks more like a fox to me, and there’s a grumpy looking wolf there too, don’t like that either.

And the tortoiseshell cat, that has a tache which makes it look like Hitler  Those 3 are hidden away. And the lone tiger in the water with the black background…no, don’t like that either.

Beautiful Nicol.
Thanks for sharing.
I am going to request an Art and craft section on this forum, as I keep missing things.
