Do you mean the house plants, the African Violets, Meg or the little wild violets that spring up all in my flowerbeds and pots?
Weigela because they are so beautiful but also very much loved by bees https://www.over50sforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=13274&stc=1&d=1595203797
I love the spicy scent of lupins and the floral dainty perfume of sweet peas.
Lavender is another I adore.
This is my little rose in full bloom,I counted 48 flowers in this cluster, it’s over now sadly.
Grass. An amazing plant that has a number of different uses. We can play sports on grass, use it for recreational purposes, use it to cover large areas of ground where planting or hard surfacing is not ideal. We can neglect watering during drought and it will revive once the rain comes. It provides a cool space during hot periods. Safe for children. Looks good all year providing you know what you’re doing, unlike most other plants.
Two pics of a lawn at different times of the year. Assistant gardener pictured!
Second picture.
What a neat & tidy garden. Mine is a jungle.
You’ve got your own planetarium, super.
Next time I’m on the way to Cornwall I’ll pop in and sort it out for you!
Not quite. That’s the home of the Big Blue!
I have a gardener, but he is very unreliable.
How often does he visit?
My Buddleia & still no butterflies.
Same here Tiffany, buddleia out but no butterflies.
I can’t understand why, Caricature, usually at this time of year there are seemingly hundreds of different butterfly species swarming all over it. So far I have seen three & not on the Buddleia, one, a Peacock in the sun lounge & I put it back out & two Large Whites having a boxing match over the garden, both totally ignored the Buddleia.
I’m not much of a gardener so my favourite plants are ones that are easy to keep.
I love Hebe & Cordyline because one hasn’t died on me yet & I adore summer geraniums.
