My Christmas Present to myself has arrived.
Not due until Friday, only ordered Sunday afternoon and here it is.
A case of 12 bottles of red from Laithwaites.
I am a very happy womble.
I am just waiting for it to reach room temperature before I open a bottle.
Sod the diet and medical advice, time for a bit of enjoyment in life.

What a combination, but the Consultant did say I could have the odd treat over Christmas, and this is a very odd treat.

Ah, in Asda today treated myself to a substitute Baileys (cheaper version) and a cherry brandy. I look forward to quaffing some of the latter. Yum.

Swimmy, l am wondering if you got them via Laithwaites wine plan?
I sometimes take advantage of their lovely red wine cases with free glasses at brilliant prices but l do remember to cancel before the next case arrives as that will be at the higher price.
I first tasted Laithwaite’s wine when my (ex) husband visited our bank and they said, ‘Congratulations, you are our ?visitor and you’ve won 12 bottles of wine’!
Red wine,in moderation,is supposed to be good for you.Never mind, you can still think of it as a treat.
