My Carpet, In Homes Under The Hammer

I’ve just been watching this, the buyers bought a house to do up for rental. Imagine my surprise to see on the stairs & landing when they first went to see the house & what needed doing to it, (quite a lot :grinning:), exactly the same as my carpet in my hallway & stairs. The carpet that has been in my house now for nearly 50 years, boy do I feel old. :grinning:
They ripped it all out & had flooring instead.
My carpet is 80% wool & 20% nylon & though thread bare in places will see me out.

Sorry but It would depress me a threadbare carpet.

It’s not threadbare all over, just in places & at my age no point changing it, it still works. Part of it, in the living room, has a small floor rug over it so it doesn’t get worse.

There is a good quick fix for threadbare patches, and children’s coloured crayons of the right shade will usually deceive the eye of anyone looking from face height :+1:
