My book collection

I always and firmly stated that I would only read a hard copy of any book…until my son brought me a Kindle.

Now I have an Amazon Fire with in excess of 500 e pubs.

I have e pubs from 82 different authors totalling,as of 11 April 2017, 508 e pubs.

I mainly read fictional modern day military combat, including WW3,some World war 2 naval and Air force and some thrillers.

I hope you don’t mind me asking…

But what’s an “e pub”?

Its an electronic form of a book,(e-pub I:E Electronic Publication) also called MOBI,and other formats.

Ah! Gotcha!

I didnt know, until I got my first Kindle, then found out when I went on line searching for books

I haven’t been swayed over to e books yet
I like the feel of a book in my hands

Bet it saves on shelf space though!

I was of the same opinion as you,but could never decide which books to take on holiday with me & 500 plus books would cost a fortune in excess baggage. Now with my Amazon Fire I can carry all 500 plus books and they only weigh a few ounces

I too have been swayed over to ebooks.
I do still buy books when I am out and about but for ease as you say Steve on holidays, on a train, bus etc it is easier to read my ebook.

Kindle’s are brilliant. I always read a little by it’s cover light when I go to bed. Doesn’t take long before I’m ready to sleep.

I wont have a kindle myself, im an avid book man, do you like the Dale Brown books.?

I have every Dale Brown book,I did have them all on hard copy, but sold them on ebay.I have,at the last count 509 e pubs.

Im slowly gathering them from charity shops, also some By Stephen Coonts though i favour more the works of Clavell, Cornwell, Scarrow,Igulden Lustbader Et al.

I always have a book on the go, I prefer the feel and smell of a book but do have a few on the Kindle app on my tablet, they are great for travelling.
I like Patricia Cornwell, Jeffrey Archer, Wilbur Smith, and love biographies, but will usually read anything put in my hand.
