I admire Russell Watson. His day starts with such a difficult Regime of Drugs.
Without them he would not be able to function.
He does not make a fuss really, he gets on with his life as best he can.
Yes he has days that he just wishes things could be different, but they can’t be different, he knows that.
He has to just make plans ahead.
Wise Man.

I play this song and think of the people I have lost in my life that I loved deeply.

To a very few people in my life that love me truly,I thank you for being there for me.

If this does not improve your video techniques, yawns now, nothing will.

Welcome to my British English song.
I might get some words wrong (because)
This language ain’t easy at all, (ā€œain’tā€ = ā€œisn’tā€ in this context)
Practising is the most powerful tool.
Our vowels are a, e, i, o and u,
(Question:) Which consonant can be a vowel too? (Ask me if you don’t know.)
Write ā€œIā€ BEFORE ā€œEā€ EXCEPT AFTER ā€œCā€. (See explanation beneath the lyrics.)
But who cares if you only want to understand me?

The UK is a very crazy place
We always complain with a polite face.
I’m from the south so when I talk
I might confuse someone from the north. (Regional accents / dialects are very different.)
British jokes can seem unfunny and sad,
That’s because our sense of humour’s mad.
If you think it’s strange we drink so much tea
I love it a lot so please don’t tell me.

You ask why you have to work to learn
Just to speak to some stupid Briton.
You wonder: ā€œWhy don’t they learn to speak to me?ā€
Well I’m English and (to be honest) I’m too lazy.

You study grammar at home and at school
But ā€œTHERE’S AN EXCEPTION TO EVERY RULEā€.
We say, ā€œThat’s life,ā€ when it’s not easy,
Or we steal French and say, ā€œC’est la vieā€! (ā€œC’est la vieā€ means ā€œthat’s lifeā€ in French.)
A language is never learnt quickly,
Never ā€œAS EASY AS 1, 2, 3ā€.
But working hard is all you have to do.
So good luck and I hope for the best for you.

(Spelling: when ā€œiā€ and ā€œeā€ are together it’s like ā€œgrieveā€ or ā€œbelieveā€ except for when ā€œcā€ comes first e.g. ā€œreceiveā€ and ā€œceilingā€.)

Love it. One regret that I never got to see them live. My favourite album of there’s has to be the Yes Album. Perhaps because was the first album that bought them to my attention.
Nice quality video too (be quiet Mr P) :grinning:
