Just good old fashioned liquid bleach as against all the modern expensive equivalents .
Hmmm…I bet it stinks? I don’t really use bleach, I worry about it being in the water supply.
I was raised to the smell of bleach as Nan bleached everything to within an inch of it’s life and that included in the pub’s bars too, but I cant remember anyone complaining.
Yes, my grandmother was the same. Couldn’t go in the bathroom for hours after she had cleaned it!
No I don’t follow MrsH after trying Zoflora (her recommendation ) what a stink ! I’d rather something just be clean as clean doesn’t smell not masked with a highly floral antiseptic !
Some of the Zoflora so called perfumes are definitely overpowering, but a few are not so, but of course it’s all about trial and error. I think we tried the whole range over a number of months until Mrs LD found something she was happy with
I’m not a Facebook person and I’ve never heard of a Mrs Hinch.
I’ve never heard of Mrs Hinch - or her cleaning tips, but I’ve just joined her group and her gardening tips group too.
It’s so sad when people dismiss facebook - as though it’s a den of iniquity. If you have no experience of facebook, it’s best not to condemn it. There are huge numbers of “groups” you can join and most are great. There are also community groups which will inform you of anything of concern going on the area, such as a road closed because of some traffic incident, flooding, etc. I also find plenty of events are advertised on FB - it really provides a massive amount of information. If you’re going on holiday - there’s a UK Travel and Covid Information group - which was more than helpful for my recent holiday, giving hints and tips on PLF forms, Day 2 tests etc etc.
Probably best used by those with open minds who can enjoy the variety of information available.
I’ve found Sophie’s tips Mrs Hinch cleaning tips and her favourite cleaning products (goodto.com)
haha! love it!
I did like that site, so thanks for sharing it. However, I must say (off topic) I am getting tired of this “grey house” decor! Its the new decorating trend, and its boring. Every room in most houses now
are grey and white…crikey, get some colour in there! Rant over…apologies.
I really can’t remember the last time I bought any new jeans. My collection of around 20 or so pairs just wash and wash without wearing out
I just bought some new ones, but they are insulated for winter. It seems I go through the insulated kind more so than the regular. Says something about the weather here.
I’ve never liked greys! My home is mainly plain walls with what I call splash-n-dash finish. Good old magnolia hard wearing emulsion with satin white trim.
Edited to add … I keep a good stock here (for home and tenants) and a swift call to Leon, our trusteed decorator and he’s straight onto my request
Trixie you can add Lemon Juice as well as it cuts through grease… stings if you have a cut on your hands… .
Decent paint etc is expensive here by the way…We still have a fair amount of Wicke’s Paints…various people have brought it over for us…
what fur lined Jeans…?
guess to match the ear muffs…
Flannel, couldn’t handle fur lined, seems like it would itch. Probably, why you always see animals scratching.
Yeah think you might be right on that…But too late my new Winter Coats that I got only today actually…
just for knocking about in…usual yard jobs that require doing…snow hail gales we get it all that here… Up The North Pole…
Strangely I reckon it would work …my clothes show the sign of the much dreaded pink spot…anyone who uses bleach knows what I’m talking about.
I’ve been known to use felt tip pens on my clothes to get rid of the evidence.
