I guess for me, most of my friends are now online. Funny to think I’ve never met them in person but can find someone who is a real soul twin or on my wavelength … and I’ve grieved for them when they have gone…
Perhaps we judge the person more on their character than their looks online?
My daily contact with real people now seems to be more just nodding accquaintance.
When I retired I missed many of my colleagues especially after we moved up country. But we soon got some new and lovely friends. That said I continued to have the on-line group, yourself included Lady Morticia !
Unfortunately All of My old Friends have died, but I did make some new Ones when We were all Members of Sagazone Site, and We went on holidays, weekends away, lunches etc’…A few joined the old OFF when saga shut down, but others didn’t make it on to the OFC…so…I just love My online Friends here…A few I’ve ‘known’ for around 20 years…I hope We continue to chat for a long time to come.xxx
The real world has been diminishing for years now, no wonder real friends are scarce
There is an opportunity for a new venture now, a site named “Real Friends Reunited”
