We take our advice from our GP not some “expert” on the internet.
Jabs don’t stop you from catching it but lessen the symptoms and possibly prevent actual death. We’ve been told that covid can effect other organs in the body and make minor ailments much more severe.
No one knows long term if Covid or the Jabs will have long term connotations, folks just like banging on about it.
This is just an opinion, not based on any data or any medical article.
The wife and I are booked in for flu & covid jabs on Monday the 7th of October . Can’t say I’m looking forward to it personally, as I always feel like death warmed up for a couple of days.
I hope you have a better after-experience this year @John
I’m booked in for my Covid booster on the day after you, on 8th October.
(I’ll book my flu jab for early November, as I don’t like to have them both at the same time)
I don’t usually have a bad response but it does make me feel a bit washed out for a day or two, so I usually plan to have a few restful days after a vaccination.
All the Best to you both.
I’ve been messaged by my GP advising me to make an appointment to have a Covid/flu booster jab. Not sure what to do about it as the last one I had made me quite ill for a couple of days.
Mr Mags and I are booked in for our Flu vaccination on Oct 15th and the Covid vaccination on Oct 17th.
This year our surgery is vaccinating patients 2 days apart.
We’ve not heard anything yet about the jabs. I am thinking of only having the Flu one from now on.
I got chastised for typing that
I now have to say “My Wife”, god knows that sounds condescending.
I would imagine the woke lot will be gunning for us both, however we refer to “Her Indoors”
Had both jabs on Monday. Felt ghastly on the Tuesday, aching all over, both arms stiff. Last night I coughed for Britain. What are they putting in them jabs!?? I’ve decided that will be my last time, if I get flu so be it, can’t feel any worse than at the moment!
Had my covid booster yesterday. Feel like I was punched in the arm. I wouldn’t have had it, but I’m travelling next month and my travel insurance says I have to keep up with all vaccinations.
Sorry to hear you two have had such painful reactions.
I had my Covid jab 3 days ago.
My arm felt a bit painful for the first two days and I sneezed a lot on the 2nd day - but it was a short-lived discomfort. I feel fine now - I felt back to my usual health again when I woke up this morning.
My neighbour and her brother and sister-in-law all went on a coach trip from Yorkshire to Scotland a couple of weeks ago - they all caught Covid and felt ill for about 10 days after they got home.
While Covid is still doing the rounds, I’ll keep having the annual vaccinations when they are offered.
Yes, Yes, Boot, my nana smoked for fifty years and didn’t miss a day’s work, and it was not cancer that finally killed her either…
Had a flu jab yesterday, arm a bit sore and feal very tired.
Will wait at least 2 weeks before I have my Covid booster.
That’s the only reason I get the shot, if it’s required to have where I’m going, outside the country. I got the first to to travel and never been back.
There’s no way I’m taking any more jabs thank you very much!
I feel the same Chilli.
I’ve had covid, confirmed by Hammersmith Hospital, barely felt a thing. I don’t know if I’ve ever had the flu, I’ve had a bad cold with a temperature, that was probably it. Felt fine within a couple of days, maybe a few Paracetamols helped.
In the process of writing my LPA. The first sentence reads.
“No need to vaccination the Cold Corpse!”
" It was deliberately NOT vaccinated when Warm"
All the way >>
I have never had a bad reaction to either flu or covid jabs. The injection site might have been tender for a day afterwards but that was about it.
I’ve these survived so far
You’re only as good as your last Gig
