Good morning all

On a miserable, wet Monday

Nothing much planned for the day, I’ll be meeting a friend for coffee this morning, then continuing sorting out clothes etc. for a charity shop

Bruce and his daughter should set off today so we can look forward to following their adventure

What are you up to today ?

Morning all…

A damp and drizzily day here on the south coast. Raining just enough to put a stop to my daily walk, may try again later if it clears up. Not a lot happening here today, apart from run the wife to the gym. Need to do a little shopping maybe later, not forgetting my morning coffee.

Yesterday I said to the wife about maybe booking a trip to see some Christmas Markets in November/early December time. We haven’t done one for a few years and thought about going on one. Next thing I know, she wants to go back to Las Vegas for a week and spent hours last night looking for travel packages. Not sure if this will happen, but it will be near her birthday and we did something similar some years ago and wants a repeat experience.

Have a great day all…

Good morning!
Cloudy & damp, but not actually raining

Probably like many towns now, I plan my shopping trips & errands according to the One Way System
So I’m going to a local sub post office to buy stamps & post a birthday card, followed by a minor shopping trip to Sainsbury

This afternoon I have an appointment at the doctor’s surgery, for a blood sample

Incidentally, Sainsbury is my most convenient supermarket, but I’ve been going off that lately
I’m tired of negotiating their purchasing system, with its two tier pricing; pressure to use the self checkouts; coupons from the till and by post, hence grovelling around on the floor to find the offer on the bottom shelf, only to have the coupon rejected because I didn’t pick up precisely the required packet of peanuts
A couple of nights ago none of the staffed tills were actually staffed, and we had to gang up on them.
It took over 10 minutes to grudgingly find someone

Sainsbury is on my route but I think that after today I’ll be going to LIDL or ALDI

It’s good evening from me

We set off late nearly 11am and were hoping to reach Goolgowi or Hay today.

We drove 340km, fairly easy driving nearly every road train we came across turned off the road we were on. Stopped in a town called Harden for lunch and discussed our plans. Decided Goolgowi was too far as we would reach there about dusk, no one in their right mind drive at dawn or dusk because that’s when animals start moving around.

Decided Barellen would be the place. This town is basically only famous for one thing Evonne Goolagong was born here. It is the home of the big Tennis Racket.

Drove to the showground to see if there were vacancies, we had it to ourselves,

Went to the General Store to pay

And set up for the night. She unpowered, me with power

My daughter’s awning is spectacular it even has built in lighting!

Tomorrow we hope to get to near Mildura in the NSW/Victoria border.

See you then.

Take care…
