Bread that is so sad :-(, such a painful situation .
I think your anger is justified …
Bread, I am so sorry, my condolences to you and yours.
Yes, I agree.
The root cause of my mums death was not Covid, it was that my mum had an aneurism, which caused her death.
The root cause of me not seeing her was government policy. A policy that was not adhered to by the ambassador of it.
My sincere condolences to you and yours, Bread.
Totally agree with you bread, no wonder you’re angry, and have every right to be, so sorry this has happened…
Covid was the root cause of the restrictions on movements that we ALL should have abided by.
If you go back far enough you will be asking yourself if there really is a god
China and the lying WHO are as far back as I would go
Well I certainly totally reject any and all “gods”. As for the WHO or anything associated with the UN, the whole thing bears no resemblance to what had been hoped for when it was established. China? America? Wouldn’t trust either of them.
Yep I agree with you there AT.
Thank you so much to the posters on here who have given their support.
Thank you x
Back on topic …
There a many thousands of people who have been in the exact same situation as Bread, not being able to see a loved one who passed away due to covid restrictions. My father (August), my mother (September) and one of my uncles (November) all passed away due to various health issues and they died alone because care homes and hospitals where they were in would not allow us to see them because of covid rules. It’s heart wrenching knowing they died alone. I am sure Hancock is not the only minister who has broken social distance rules. He’s the only one that’s been caught.
The thing that made me angry about lockdown was the situation with Cummings. People up and down the country were very very desperate to see their loved ones before they passed on but lockdown law prevented that but what do we hear, Cummings, Boris most senior advisor breaking lockdown rules to be with his parents and nothing is done. He gets no warning, no sacking, nothing because Boris defends him to the hilt.
Hancock was an idiot for what he did but what Cummings did was 1000 times worse because he travelled all the way to Durham, knowing he and his wife had covid-19 whilst lockdown measures were in effect and he refused to admit he did wrong. Boris defending him was the last straw. Any body gets me vote except the conservatives.
Sorry to hear about what must have been a really difficult mime for you Bread, and I can understand your anger.
As for Cummings, Dodge, you’ve forgotten that he had run away to his hard to protect family’s land up north since he had death threats and didnt want to stay in the highly policed and surveilled capital city .
We can blame whoever and whatever we like. But a new pandemic caused it all plus a world that had no idea how to deal with it.
The blame game will help no one. Nor will it stop something similar from ever happening again.
Will we learn from it?? Will we hell.
Interesting reading some varying opinions on his future:
1/. He might worm his way back
2/. He’s a gonner
That was a spot-on post, Bread. Really sorry to hear what happened regarding your Mum.
Again, a great post and so sorry to hear your sad events.
It looks as though Hancock could get a sixteen grand payoff.
'As part of the investigation, ICO teams searched two residential properties in the south of England on Thursday 15 July 2021.
‘Personal computer equipment and electronic devices were seized as part of the operation and the ICO’s enquiries into alleged breaches of section 170 of the Data Protection Act 2018 continue.’
Steve Eckersley, Director of Investigations at the ICO said: 'It’s vital that all people, including employees and visitors to public buildings, have trust and confidence in the protection of their personal data captured by CCTV.
‘In these circumstances, the ICO aims to react swiftly and effectively to investigate where there is a risk that other people may have unlawfully obtained personal data. We have an ongoing investigation into criminal matters and will not be commenting further until it is concluded.’
Matt Hancock has kept a low profile since his resignation on June 26 but he has been spotted abroad:
Matt Hancock, the former health secretary, has been pictured enjoying a budget holiday with the aide he was caught kissing during lockdown.
Photographs obtained by the Daily Express show the former Cabinet minister and Gina Coladangelo in the Swiss Alps.
The newspaper reported that the couple are staying at a two-star lodge where rooms cost as little as £87 a night.
Mr Hancock, 42, is running the London Marathon on October 3 and it is thought he is using the trip for some last-minute high-altitude training, according to the Daily Express.
The newspaper also reported that the couple have been starting their days with full continental breakfasts of croissants, chocolate bread, brioche, artisan cheeses, Swiss jams and honey.
“Nothing to see here! Please disperse!”
