Ah, you could be right, Boot. I cant see the leaves very clearly.
That would make more sense as to why they are in flower now.

An iris from my garden. No filters at all - I shot this very early in the morning when the sun was still low in the sky, with 100mm macro lens at f22 to catch all the starbursts on the dewdrops.
