Over the previous month I have contacted a nursery, a Laptop repair business, a wrecking yard and an air conditioner service business via their on line contact forms.
None of them got back to me.
They are obviously too busy, or not interested enough to reply.
Business people out there, lift your game.

Check the web for known spam sites that use e-mail addy close to yours as their system may have automatically rejected your form.

If they don’t reply, you know who to avoid, it’s not a good start, is it?
I think a lot of businesses set up these features and then don’t maintain them
Perhaps just check your junk inbox, though, sometimes the system puts them in there

No replies in spam. I think you are right, they set up their web page but give it little attention.
I do not understand their reasoning.
