This looks like a fun idea. A book swapping vending machine that lets you swap books for free.
People do it here too.They use things like converted post boxes and put them at the end of their drives.

Yes we have a converted phone box library in our village and it’s well used

Yes, We’ve got them in phone boxes here too.
This is clever though because they are nicely displayed and clean and dry
And the manager can control what goes in
Sometimes the phone box ones get very over full and people use it to dump their very worn or rubbish books, which linger in there for ages
And there have been some that have been vandalised, urinated in, or pornography left in it
It depends on the area, I suppose
I think these things work better when someone is in charge of them
