Hi Lyn, welcome.
Over here we have “Day Centres” for elderley people. They are picked up in the morning by minibus, and taken to the centre, where they can play different games like cards, indoor bowls, bingo etc, and sometimes guests speakers are invited to give talks and perhaps a video show. Then they have a nice cooked lunch and are taken back to their home early afternoon. Some places even let them have a bath if they are unsafe bathing themselves at home. For the ladies some offer manicures or pedicures. They can register to go as many days of the week as they wish for a small cost. Is there anything like that available where you are?
He would benefit from being with people his own age and he would make new friends that may enjoy talking about the same things. Another benefit would be it would give you some valuable “me time” as well.
Hope this helps.
Hi Lyn and welcome
