Luxury cars worth more than £1m lie on side of Kent dual carriageway after accident

Nine luxury cars worth more than £1m were tipped over on the side of a dual carriageway after a transporter carrying the cars overturned. Police attended the scene on Wednesday evening and the driver of the transporter sustained a minor injury.

The area has now reopened after road closures were put in place while the luxury cars were recovered at the scene. Some of the cars on the trailer are sold for hundreds of thousands of pounds.

A red Lamborghini Huracan is sold for upwards of £150,000 and can reach speeds of 201mph.

A black Jaguar F-Type was also tipped on its side, which starts at £62,000. The more expensive models can cost up to £108,000.

Meanwhile, an Aston Martin DB11, also on the transporter, has a recommended retail price starting at £152,000.

Ouch … :exclamation:

I wonder who pays for the damage. The owners of those cars might be heartbroken. (only ‘might’ because they may be rich enough not to care much) Those cars can’t be replaced easily.

There’s no other information available but at least one of the vehicles carries a current registration plate while others don’t, which might mean that they’re brand-new, perhaps being delivered to a showroom or to a dealer for delivery to customers. The transportation company should, of course, have comprehensive insurance.
