RIP to the 4-5 people who died in the Old National Bank shooting in Louisville, KY as announced on the BBC news earlier tonight.

9 people were also injured including a rookie police officer whose just 26 years old and had recently been accepted into the force.

The shooter was an employee at the bank, no reasons yet as to why he did this and he’s now dead so a search of his former residence is ongoing.

My Opinion: it is sad every time to hear of these mass shootings in the USA. The people always repeat the same… “Something has to be done to improve gun laws…” Sadly it seems that no one is listening or indeed doing anything about it as these dire situations happen again and again…

What a failing tragedy for the American people!

We can only do one thing from here in the UK. Keep these poor people in our prayers. Senseless!

Such a tragedy and so very sad

I was thinking how it must feel to send your children to school and worry if they’d come home or get shot. Just hard to fathom

But think the freedom to carry guns has a huge symbolism to some Americans and they struggle to let it go

They see it as the right to defend yourself and protect you and yours and freedom from government control and they don’t want to give it up easily

It is grim and scary but let’s not forget the seemingly increasing casual use of bladed weapons over here.

That’s really concerning, how many of us have young people within our families?

The UK has issues too!

Doesn’t it just, you’re right

In nearby Weston we had a stabbing over Easter plus a suspected perv arrested accused of take photos of women changing out of their swimming costumes

Knifes are horrific, but imagine if the same type of person we’ve got here committing knife crime could get hold of guns?

I’m glad our gun laws here are strict, but it doesn’t solve our other crime problems

Stricter gun control is the obvious answer but that wouldn’t suit some important donating Republicans
