a kitchen chair leg worked loose (ok the chair I sit on). First thought was wood glue but that messy so the answer was a small metal bracket as shown… simple fix saved the chair or getting another, most likely not make the same to match the other 3 anyway

That’s the problem with Chinese ‘carpentry’; in no time at al the “joint’s” work loose. I usually recommend a couple of dowels drilled through and set in pva.
All my kitchen chairs are wonky I need to get everything new but can’t drum up the enthusiasm
I only have one kitchen chair that I use for my desktop computer, it is welded so unlikely to get a loose leg.
If I need “kitchen” chairs it is usually for a BBQ in the garden and at $8 each you can’t beat these.
If their leg comes loose you chuck it in the bin
