Good day Spitfire…I don’t recall posting of late, you must have spotted me lurking.
I have been away in deepest Devon with my family, the love & attention being centred on the newest member & seventh grandchild, my grandson William, named after my dad & also my grandad.
He is the latest William in a line going back unto the day, whilst my maternal forebears are dominated by Robert (Bob).
I have charted my family history back to 1624 & never get bored with it.
Have any of my chums aka gathered glitterati gathered gems of genealogy?
Yea, what Spitfire said?
Good morning D.
Early on I listened to many tales of past linked blood lines but have never been inclined to research.
Where is SP, overslept after a riotous night out, or in, I’d guess.
I’ve left a cup of cold cocoa, left over from my quiet night.
Early on…you mean early on today.
Have a go, it’s easy nowadays on the internet. When I commenced collecting data 20 yrs ago I dashed all over the country looking up old records.
Tell a lie RJ, once I went onto one of those Genealogy Sites, and put a relatives name in (which was quite a unique name) and date, and place of birth. The database said something like “We have found 75,000 results for that search”, see, I wanted quality, not quantity.
