Leisurely Scribbles (part 5) (Part 1)

I think I’ve found our original plot - we are the Ferals - now we just need to allocate roles - the ferals of OFF - sounds good!

I’m with you RJ on this one - you are after all the elder statesman and not some jumped up woodie who teaches kiddies at kindergarten all about the universe and calls that’s university education - rubbish!

perhaps we should call you Prof RJ? there’s no one else around that fits the bill heh?

WELL!!! Are you lot saying we are the wild ones? Is that a documented fact?

Very good post by Pugsy.
I’m not that clever. X

I’ve been wild today, just got back from the last Large Model Airshow at Much Marcle, in beautiful Herefordshire, I just love a Walk on the Wild Side.

well spits can you post some more wild on here - it’s slipping into the quick sand!

Any pics Spitty???

Wild today:mrgreen: Yay everything wild.

I started to video, but, because we were in the disabled section with the FIL, which was quite far from the flight line, and, the direction the sun was shining from, it was to difficult to see the screen.

It’s a pity, there was a well impressive Airbus 330, and a very large Fokker, decked out in Dastardly and Muttley livery.

Have you looked on Youtube??? There are usually some posted by others.

I usually do, I will when I’ve had my tea.

Ok, that will be good.

I did not drive today, that gave me time to observe, it is amazing the number of folks, who still enjoy a cigarette whilst driving, Respect!

Something to think about?

Read all about it!

I was reading the newspaper this morning & noted a couple of interesting snippets. First up was a piece about a glass statue of Jesus on a mountainside in Wales, being stored away for safekeeping during the recent storms. Before reinstating him they brushed clean the site, the comment was short and sweet, JESUS SWEPT.
The shortest verse in the Bible is John 11:35: “Jesus wept.” But for all its grammatical simplicity, it’s packed with unfathomable complexity
On the same page was a picture of mourners at John McCain funeral, with Mrs McCain sat next to Bill Clinton. Now, THIS Mrs McCain wasn’t his wife but his mother aged 106. How many octogenarians are likely to have their mother at their funeral?
It is a coincidence for me today to come across a favourite quotation ‘A man’s character is his destiny’
Many define the term character as a cluster of personal attributes that define who we are as individuals. … Heraclitus penned the Greek aphorism “Ethos anthropos daimon” which was being roughly translated to “character is a man’s fate (or destiny)”.
It just so happens that John McCain has written a book, back in 2005 on this very subject & which I Have ordered from Amazon today.
BTW there are quite a few on JESUS WEPT.

Now what was all that about?

That was incredibly interesting Young Robert. My bedtime story I guess. X
I’m too tired to add something to it tonight.
I need to absorb the meaning.
You will need to educate me a little more.

Smoking and driving used to be so common. I always hated it as a child because my Dad chain smoked as he drove and the car filled up with smoke quickly even with the window open a little.

I think it’s dangerous.

Yes Dreamy my Dad did that.

yes I bet they thought they were smart driving and smoking but it was when the live stub fell down between their legs that they were in trouble heh??

Good Night Possums. X

Oiy I’m not a possum - I’m a jumpin kangaroo!

We’re trying to exterminate possums! Without much success I might add.
My dad smoked but never when he was driving. I remember getting on a train as a kid and my eyes watering the whole way to where ever it was we were going, due to the smoke.
Don’t worry Gumbud. I’m a 9 foot Moa. I’ll kick that cigarette out for you.
