Sorry to hear about the Son taking a turn Sweetie, but glad to hear it’s passed now, they are always kids to us no matter how old they are, my Son has just turned 50 and is long married but Phyllis still dotes on him like a child. Hairy auld child says I.

The picture joke with Sweetie taking the toffee apple for a walk is very funny.

What did the skinny toffee apple say to the fat toffee apple?
You must take a lot of stick, you being so fat an all.
(that’s a new one for you Spitty, by way of token compensation)

If you read a lot of Agatha Christie you would know that she features in a good many of her 80 odd books (I have them all in paperback) a Mrs. Oliver, Mrs Oliver writes crime novels, shuns all publicity, and she is Christies way of putting herself into some of her novels.
In a scene on TV last night of “The Third Girl” Mrs Oliver and Poirot enter a large guest house where the porter is relaxed behind the counter reading Mrs Olivers latest murder mystery. He jumps up when they approach him, book in hand he asks Poirot “Have you read her latest Monsieur Poirot?” Poirot nods in a yes “Well perhaps you can help me then, Mrs Oliver is a genius ain’t she? I’ve read this book four times and I still don’t know who did it”
Mrs Oliver was not amused, but it shows Agatha Christie was never afraid to have a smile at her own expense.
One of the reasons i like her novels, is her subtle sense of humour.

Good Afternoon Possums

Firstly my boy is fine today.

Agatha Christie, well I went to see the Mouse Trap in London. It was a last minute choice, as it was pouring with rain. I got front row for just £12!!!
A real last minute bargain, as I do with a lot of shows.
The evening I went, there were some mishaps with the staging! I ended up with a door handle on my lap!!! I do not read any kind of fiction, so sorry I cannot comment on her books, only the films and plays.

Jem are you going to meet the Pope?

I will be back later with a little story. x

there is a thread here called “post your daily exercises” but I felt rather shy; inadequate; embarrassed about posting there so if ya don’t mind I’ll try here?:

today I selected a B pencil with the left hand and also to balance it a B with the right hand and lifted them at the same time [straight lift off the desk] 100 times - it’s not easy I can tell you - try it. I shall work up to the H overtime both sitting and standing. today I remained sitting - didn’t want to overdo it?

Gummy, I’ve done 18900 paces so far today, just sayin like:-)

Front of the office just about complete, I’ll post a photo laters.
