My accident.
It was February 2017, we were in London to see LeAnn Rimes.
We booked a hotel for two nights.
We were walking up the Charing Cross Road in the afternoon. There were not only roadworks, but half the pavement was up. This meant that pedestrians could only pass single file. It was manic as it always is in London. I tripped over a large metal ring bolt in the ground, caught my foot in a large metal change, then fell awkwardly on the second ring bolt.
I came crashing down on my elbow, I passed out. An ambulance was called, my blood pressure was all over the place, so I was left in situ with the crew attending me for quite a while. Eventually, I was taken to A&E at University College Hospital. I was taken for an Xray, where they discovered that my jumper and fur coat was saturated with blood, and I bled all over the couch. A compound fracture. I was cleaned up, my arm put in a sling, a tetanus jab, and a bag of painkillers.
I heal very quickly, but the intermittent pain is still there.
My hubby dealt with the claim for a while, discovering that each side of the said road belongs to different councils. Then came that fire!!! We were getting no-where so I have a solicitor dealing with it now. He had the same response, each council blaming the other, so he issued court proceedings to both. Phew! Does that explain enough?
Just about, what you goin to do with the Compo???
Go to see Gummy???![]()
yep I remember reading it now - well you always do need a good solicitor for sure - yep they will always try to wiggle out of it - I know you will keep us up posted but heh SP any residual symptoms at the moment ?
yep send jackhammer spits to me - yes spits how can I help you - have you for example good investment skills or has the jackhammer left you rather shaky in all depts??
I get pain if I lift heavy items. My fine motor skills are affected, shame I cannot paint anymore. But the specialist said it can be treated.![]()
one arm or both? - not prying just care! ya a tough lady !
My right elbow Gummy.
I do have some awful pics, I am NOT posting them.
Just Shaken, not Stirred, but, still able to plumb new Depts.![]()
