What does one gain from this image?
First I see a proud man, and why not, taking the stance of old Frank Buck, big game hunter, the “Bring ‘em back alive” fella, only difference is Frank Buck never wore a skirt, and especially a camouflaged skirt, perhaps it’s his female side battling to come to the fore, who knows.
This man has just bagged himself a rabbit and is proudly placing his left foot on his dinner’s head, he is a kind soul however and really loves all animals therefore he has the consideration not to show the dead animals body. the lethal looking weapon is in fact a pellet air gun.
Don’t be fooled by the baddie black hat, he is really one of the good guys.
Though he doesn’t realise it he’s actually giving his age away here, notice the gun in one hand and the walking stick in the other, the horizontal bar is also lending him support.
