Apropos the new train schedules that are causing chaos around the country, our bin days are changing.
From time immemorial our bins have been emptied, sometimes into a waiting vehicle, and sometimes a portion on our drive or in the road, on a Friday.
Our local council has decided to change that to a Monday in order to make things more efficient.
I don’t know if that means more or less will end up in the wagon rather than recycled back into the public environment, or if by more efficient they mean even cheaper than the previous sub-contractor.
So, last friedegg was green waste, food waste, and recycling, followed by recycling and food waste again on mondegg.
Now it’s black bin day (non recyclable) tomorrow followed by “everything” next mondegg.
I have no idea how I’m supposed to refill all my waste bins over the weekend, so if any of you have rubbish to spout, you are welcome to pass it my way and I’ll bung it in the relevant bin for ee.
Like many train travellers, I eagerly await to see how the efficiency improvements will manifest themselves.

Y’getcha self a wheelie bin [yes,wheelie ‘n’ twooly,before ‘he’ say it!] and write ‘recyc’ on the lid…NOT the front/sides/bottom [although gumbud LOVES people writing with a felt-tip {ooooh,sailor!} on his bottom-especially if the writing says Kilroy and the rest of the queue were here] and on the council one y’write or paint ‘GEN refuse’. Now,[this is where poorole Puggyhunk gets bombarded with abuse]…for several yonks,I drove a dustcart…the times I’ve heard some mouth-almighty,self-important prick shout ‘‘I pay your wages’’ or take a swing at me because he’s in a hurry and my 28 ton dustcart [we had the tri-axle version due to the rusticity of my routes] you just wouldn’t believe. I had more fist-fights as a dustman than I had in 16 years service with 45RMC. I bleedin’ HATE yooz lot over there on the mainland…a pox be on the lotta yerz!
omg - he’s back sniffin the glue stuff - RJ - can you please recite from Leviticus ch 23 vs 14-24 - usually works! and someone will need to remove his leaf gold personal labelled blouse - he’s messin it up and someone else less sensitive will need to remove his dacks - yes I know it’s not a pleasant task but someone has to do it and it ain’t gonna be me - he does some terrible things whenever I get near his dacks!!
then we’ll have to shower him - yes again I need someone to go into the shower with him " well I never promised you a rose garden - no normally not to dangerous when he’s on the glue it affects his pecker - in fact it doesn’t peck!!
after that we can give 'im a good rub down - I can help there and then get him into his blue fluffy night attire and he should then settle down particularly with a cocaine dusted dum dum!! I thenk you I thenk you!:-D:-D
