Leisurely Scribbles (part 5) (Part 1)

don’t know haven’t got there yet - I’m still darn udder in 2017 in the dr who time machine!!

Who hasn’t wanted to time travel after reading HG Wells The Time Machine.

I once did, but now know that I could not stop myself from preventing something that had affected me from happening. Knowing that you could stop a life from being snatched from you would be too great a temptation and an opportunity I could never miss.

It will be a brave inventor of a workable time machine who would allow any mere mortal to time travel when knowing what flaws and emotions we have.

Does anyone ever feel like a Big Dic…tionary?

“I have a vewwy gweat fwiend in Wome named Biggus Dickus”…

[nobody chucked at the pic I posted then? Am I…[gulp]…NOT David Bailey?..]

no but I wouldn’t mind a big Mac!!

the exposure was a bit bare and subject matter rather too white??

we can only work with the material we’re given??

1918 Jem. I was searching for weather reports for 100 yrs ago. I found that paper clipping and some other stuff. Seems to me that Global Storming has always been around.
Found some really fascinating stuff on Dublin. I may post it later.

Cheer up Pug and remember
Alwaaaays look on the briiight side of life .

I had a giggle at your picture Pug me lad, and fair play to you, It takes a good snow plough driver to drive through a group of polar bears without sweeping them up with the rest of the snow, God bless your eyesight young man.

I’m a good environmentalist so I left instructions with the wife to bury me without clothes and give my best suit to Oxfam so one of their workers in Haiti will look respectable the next time he visits a brothel.;-)

The Blushing Corpse
By Jem.

At great shock and surprise to us
Uncle Harry was knocked down by a bus
Gods will, ‘cos he was sick and couldn’t be cured
Luckily he was with the Woolwich and well insured.

Aunt Betty set the ball in motion
And he lay in the chapel with great devotion
Little did they know as they all knelt
Harry was lying in the box in his pelt.

Father O’Toole said a few kind words
And the choir sang out the usual chords
Suddenly a thump was heard on the coffin lid
“Don’t panic, I’ll open it” cried old Uncle Sid

Harry stood up all sad and forlorn
Naked as the day he was born
Face as red as the rising sun
With all the ladies looking at his cute little bum.

I nearly missed it Pugsy Bear.

That deserves a :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:.

Stop me if I’ve posted this one before…

Young Robert, Your poems!
I really am in awe of your talent.
Repeat all you like.

Awww Gawan, I’ll get puffed up and precocious, well even more than I am now

but don’t stop yet

As St Augustine famously said.

"Dear Lord, make me chaste but not yet.

I will now remember August - Your Birthday.
I may take pen to paper and write a poem for you.
Or, even better paint something just for you.
Perhaps both.
However, I must tell you that I have read HG Wells The Time Machine, and I am deffo Eloi! Oh gawd 1895!!!

I have an embarrassing symptom
I’ve been putting off seeing the doc
I suppose I’ll just have to tell him
Just exactly what I think I’ve got

It’s down below doctor doctor dear
Down below but not as far as my feet
More, half way up near my femurs
And above my rosy pink little bum cheeks

I think I may have shingles. Shall we go together?

Oh dear,my darling Sweetie Pie has varicella-zosta!
A bright red rash around her curves-just what will that cost her?
For Hubby Pie will reach for his pens,as he eyes up those spots;
And WHAT a time will be had by both,as they play ‘join the dots’!!

This was my mentor.:lol::lol:

I do hope it’s not shingles, it’s tiresome. I still am suffering aftereffects from a bout started before Christmas
