Our First Minister has Covid, if thatâs any help? She has been gallivanting to the US recently so might have caught it there (or on the planeâŠorâŠ). In other news, rainfall is up for this time of the year. Word is the boat builders have all been called back in to start constructing a large fleet of kayaks in case we all need rescuing.
I thought so Scotland still not come out of itâs winter solstice? any snow still left up there?
On the hills there are still little patches here and there. We tend to be a good couple of weeks behind England in terms of the good weather. Our summers are short and sweet
Plenty of posts and news from Scotland Gummy.
I think the Scottish members are doing well for themselves and good luck to them, they have managed to keep a long running thread called âClub Scotlandâ going, of which I always have a gawk at when I sign in, all the ladies there have a good time chatting together and why not, I say ladies because any men who dropped in donât seem to stay long there.
But when I see a post by May it sets me heart all a-flutter and I have to exit the thread before I faint, my oh my, oh what a gal!, How ya doingâ May.
Australians, Americans, Irish, Germans, South Africans, New Zealanderâs ,and other nations are way down in the minority stakes here, I would have loved to form an Irish Club but we only have two Irish born members here now, Silver Tabby and meself, canât see any more joining either. Sad.
Philly and me are off now to the local, tonight is a quiz night, Iâm brutal at quizzes.
My dear Mother used to sing this song to us when we were nippers, I wanted to hear it again today, I came upon this nice little version in my search.
I was surprised to hear how fresh and clear this old ladyâs voice was when she began to sing, beautiful, sounds like a 21 year old, fair play to ya maâam. Read some of the comments below the video.
gummy is doing a good job on the question front, are we experiencing the push-pull Cycle.
Jembo hung on for two hours I posted, then he disappeared, Da Ya think I got BO?
I think he still misses the old lads from here and maybe a touch of âguiness dementiaâ
there was an old lad called dementia
who took to the salt baths in florencia
he would wallow for hours
clutching bunches of flowers
and stumbled out looking like cementia??
Yes gummy, back in the old days, I know I was integral, but made sure I was an outsider, now I am just a âSure Ronâ.
oh dear heâs gawn all spotty on me ?? spitty has?? integral integral?? - donât know about that always into summat weird for sure - dâya remember ya jackhammer days???
push pull cycles - bet ya doin a lot of that now??
where do ya get these from Jembo - you must have a hidden cache??
nah heâs run out of stayin power and into phyllisâs arms!
there was an old lad from da liffey
who would âtune inâ when on came our spitty
now his eyes they do droop and his ears do the loop
and he just snores all the night in the chippy?
The Jackhammer Days werenât just a phase, they are integral, still live and kicking, I just donât wanna talk about it anymore.
ah go on spittie be a sport they were fun days and we had all these funny stories of the jackhammer taking you for a run around your backyard??
NO! I am about to reap the reward for all those labors, the entertainment has to stop whilst the accounting begins.
My Jackhammer will not sleep, in my hand
Till I have built suburbia
In Englandâs Green and Pleasant Land
trouble is the way ya building suburbia is vanishing Englands green and pleasant lands is it not?
Of course, but we are vanishing as well so, if we get the timing right, we may vanish simultaneously =
