Labour soars to 13-point lead in polls as Tories scrap over Boris Johnson’s successor

Labour have soared to a 13-point lead in the polls as Conservatives scrap over their future leadership, according to the latest exclusive survey by Savanta for The Independent.

The advantage recorded by Labour in the poll comes close to its best performance since Sir Keir Starmer became leader in 2019, and would put him on course for a comfortable overall majority in the House of Commons if repeated at the next general election.

Every cloud has a silver lining …

Hi

Early days.

He still has the Radical Left lurking in the wings.

He needs to get shut and have clear policies to win.

It wasn’t all that long ago when they were many more points than that in front so, that tells me that their lead fell dramatically in the meantime.

Have you got a graph to show the comparison?

Many Thanks… :+1:

Unfortunately, it’s dated 7th July so it doesn’t reflect the latest poll. Also the graph only goes back to February so it doesn’t reflect BJ’s full term.

This one goes back further but is still not up-to-date.

OMG … Rishi, Liz and/or Starmer maybe in the next world if we are lucky. Is this all the future holds?

I find it hard to Imagine Starmer soaring in any way, he just doesn’t seem to be the soaring type, more’s the pity.

At least Boris knows how to party.
